He is highly analytical, breaking problems down to first principles, and backing his conclusions with data, while staying pragmatic and focused on the most efficient path to a working solution rather than the most elegant one. He sets clear goals for his own work and measures progress against them without needing to be asked. He takes real ownership of what he builds, showing the kind of initiative and entrepreneurial mindset that is difficult to teach and that made him someone we could hand ambiguous problems to and trust him to figure out the right approach.
